Off Topic Political Posts

Hey folks,

 

This group has been alive and well since 2000. When it started there

were 5 of us I was VERY liberal when it came to what topics were

posted and truly believed (and still do) that having a list which is

totally 1 dimensional, ONLY about aromatherapy, is an unrealistic

snapshot of who we are.

That being said ... we are now a list of over 1600 folks! The more

folks on this list .. the more the off topic posts, especially feather

ruffling religion and politics posts, are going to have to be deemed

in appropriate and the updated rules be enforced!

 

There are plenty of religious groups, political groups and blogs out

there to go and discuss this stuff on. It was fine when there were

even 500 of us, but not now!

 

Saying Happy Veterans Day to all the vets is TOTALLY acceptable and

welcome.

 

Going on about who should have won an election several years ago and

voter fraud questions is NOT a topic to be brought up on my group

anymore! Sorry, but its a " buzz kill " and isn't productive or problem

solving in any way here! Its just, in plain English, pissing and

moaning about how much the world sucks and is going to hell in a hand

basket, and I don't need the negativity here!

 

Political posts about environmental action and maybe wonderful social

change through our actions and purchases is welcome (fair trade for

example), discussing how big pharma is squelching alternative med

options is relevant, but topics more off topic than that really are

not any longer welcome .. right wing, left wing or any other wing, the

topics that are best discussed in another more appropriate venue

should be done there, not here!

 

If ya'll want an offshoot of OHE, where ya can talk all about off

topic political type stuff, we can call it No Oils, No Herbs, just the

ETC! I'm all for it, just be chill here! Ok

 

Thanks for being a part of the list and respecting what it is truly

all about!
