Guest guest
Connie asked: A friend of mine has had her spleen removed from a car accident, and since seems to be immune deficet. I was reading about Andrographis. Should I recommend this for daily supplementation, or are there better products available to help her? Thanks in advance. Connie Hunt Connie, Immunity can be boosted by many good herbs, foods and supplements. Your friend may also need some extra nutrition to prevent anemia. The spleen normally recycles red blood cells. Without the spleen too many red blood cells may be removed from the bloodstream. I don't mean to offend you by stating the obvious, but the best start is a decent diet with plenty of good fruits and vegetables. Since it is Thursday (at least it still is here at PST) I will put in a plug for my favorite whole food and immune boost, AFA wild algae. I quite literally think of my life as Before and After AFA. It changed me from a muddled exhausted meno- pausal mess to a woman who is hardly ever sick, has no aches and pains anywhere (I am 64) has the energy to do what she wants to do, and knows where the car keys are. AFA boosts immunity by encouraging the circulation of immune cells through the blood stream. Kind of like making sure the cops walk the beat and don't just sit in the car eating donuts.* It also encourages immunity by simply filling in the gaps in nutrition that even the best diet can leave. From amino acids to essential fatty acids to vitamins and minerals, the bottom line is: you name it, it's in there, in a form your body can recognize as food. The most recent research is showing that AFA also supports the body's ultimate repair system, adult stem cells. Good stuff. Take a look. http://wildwholefoods.net *(just an image. No offence to any good cop)
