Guest guest
Actually, worse is when your descriptive content from your website is copied and used by others... remembering when one of my clients emailed... She had googled her own address... and found a testimonial she had written for one of my products posted on the website of a California producer. (was a testimonial about our heli.) come to find out, our whole 'helichrysum healing' page had been cut and pasted onto this grower's site. now...OUR testimonials referred only to our corsican Helichrysum...not to her USA grown... I flat out can't believe people will do that. if you KNOW you have a typo or misspelling or weird punctuation somewhere on your site.. cut and paste into a google search, and see what comes up. you may be surprised. Guest guest
Or, Marge, and perhaps even worse, when your domain name gets slightly changed and another website co-opts your traffic. There is a www.wingseed.com (ours is wingedseed.com) that actually says . . . " Looking for Samara Botane? - we have them " with a link to a massive search engine, along with our registered business name all over the front page and sub pages . . . Needless to say, we are talking to the lawyers. Wingseed.com is one of around 22,500 sites owned by the same conglomerate talked about here http://spamlinks.net/blog/archives/2006/09/index.html Wingseed.com is one of the thousands of front page entry sites to information search hijackers with a Google ranking of 173!!! They've done this all by linking those thousands of sites and co-opting legit businesses traffic intended for others. They're being sued by a number of other companies. It's going to take a lot of work (and BIG bucks for the lawyer) for us to get them to cease and desist. The primary corporation at the head of this scam is buried under layers and layers of other dummy corporations. I'm not a happy camper about this and don't need this kind of aggravation. Where's my rose oil and start the bathwater, please & & *%$???!!!
