Thanks Deb, I have been crazy busy these past few months, you know when life throws you a curb ball, well I have had a few, lol..Luckily things have been working themselves out, the universe seems to be back in my happy corner. > Late update on my gardens: What is growing now: A few Broccoli plants~2 > almost ready, 2 a bit later. Wow, You are one busy woman, I have some strawberry plants, raspberry and black berry and a grape vine, this year everything was left to the animals and bugs, by the time, I cut back the grape vines and my trees, I was too tired to do anything else, those vines, are trying to kill my maple tree, and I do love my trees more than anything else in the garden. I think it's great that you are working with the Habitat, I think I should volunteer more often, but the kids always manage to muck it up ( maybe I should wait until they are older, lol) Chris used to do the herb of the month , I found it fascinating, Chris are you still doing your Herbal Classes? This winter like the last one, I have animals trying to break into my roof, last year it was raccoons, and the repair bills cost me a fortune, this year its either a mouse or a squirrel that has managed to break into my attic. I bought poison but don't have the heart to kill it. so I took it back and purchased a life trap, so I hope it either a tiny squirrel or a mouse or I'm up the creek without a ladder, lol.. They seem to really like the wood around the water pipe ( i think thats what it is) that goes up through my attic and out into the roof, so I have been spraying it like crazy with Peppermint hydrosol, seems to be working, I managed to get more than 4 hours sleep last night. I seemed to recall someone talking about sacks that can be used in barns that mice really hate, anyone know who makes them? > My pet peeve this year is: The loose use of calling ingredients > 'Botanical Extracts' in Professional products. This is where the customers need to be more informed, all you can do is send them out some info with your products and hope that they read them, or teach a class, the Catholic School board here in Mississauga, offer classes on all subjects, from flower arranging to Essential oils, I haven't gone to any of them, I would love to but I am quite sure that I would get kicked out of the Essential oil classes very quickly for arguing with the teacher, lol. > > My biggest challenge this year was finally putting together a recipe and > making a stinky Native American 'Black Salve'. LOL Have no idea what that is but it does sound stinky, lol > > My biggest work this year was planning and executing a Reunion with some > Jr High & early high school gal friends due to the request of on that > has been fighting cancer for over 2 years.
