So do horses. The Harry Hoxsey formula that

helped quite a few people with Cancer was

supposedly based on observing the herbs that

horses ate to heal themselves.

My friend Maggie's stallion cured his bronchitis

one spring by eating all her Lungwort.

( AKA Boys and Girls, or Youth and Old Age).

And here I had never taken it seriously as a herb.

I should have known that it did not earn the name

Pulmonaria Officinalis just for its pretty flowers.

And on top of that, it grows like a weed, transplants

easily and sells well, even when it is not in bloom!

year's garden

Just a reminder that horses will also eat ragweed and kill themselves.

So observation of what animals use is only a rough guide as many

creatures poison themselves eating dangerous herbs. This sounds a bit

like the utter hogwash that so called " animal aromatherapists " use to

justify using essential oils that they do not have the first clue

about as to the safety issues between species.
