Guest guest
I am going to sit squarely across the fence on this one. I killed a small bird I had just got into care (I'm a wildlife rescuer & rehabilitator) as the oil was too close to the bird. The bird also had pneumonia and could well have died anyway. I only made that mistake once. However, downstairs where I make soaps and lotions and potions I have a large amount of oils and next door I have an indoor aviary for flying foxes, marsupial possums and birds so the EOs are in the air. I haven't lost any from being in close proximity to the oils. I actually treat a lot of my animals using green clay (one of the illites) and find that highly successful as well as using macadamia oil on the wings of the flying foxes. As far as burning EOs around animals when I need to kill bugs I set my electric burner going until all bugs are dead and I'm feeling healthy again. My cat, which is supposed to have a life span of some 12 years, is going strong at 18. She loves my study where I have a lot more EOs. Either her metabolism is fine or she doesn't know that she shouldn't be around my oils. She also gets green clay when I think she needs it and gets white clay and some oils for fleas. All this tends to suggest that dosage is what it is all about. Too much is bad for all of us, but we have to make the decision on how much is too much. I leave the USA - the Texas (Sugar Land part of it) on the 4th Jan and will be in LA on the 5th. Anyone wants to talk to me or meet me until the 4th my cell # is: 832 771 8809. This will not be available after the 3rd in the afternoon. I do have access to a car, but I am more accustomed to driving on the left side of the road rather than the right so I try and keep my driving to 'safe' areas. Have a wonderful Christmas to all of you. Regards Merinda Don't burn your bridges until you have built a pontoon Make the switch to the world's best email. Get the new 7 Mail now. Guest guest
Merinda, do you have more info on using clays? Trusted websites? I raise German Shepherd Dogs and have just enough info to feel clays could be useful at times but not enough to know how to use them.
