Santalum album from Sri Lanka.... the 2006 distillation, without any

aging, is at least the equal of our 2002 Tamil Sandalwood.

and Atlas CedarLeaf oil... from Morocco... the ultimate bright evergreen

needle oil...

and Lavender CO2 extracted... lovely floral Lavender... much more floral

than any steam distilled I've ever experienced.

Hi Marge,

Your mention of the santalum album reminded me (in a woody way :) to

add to my list a (non Cites List) variety of Agarwood (Aquilaria

filaria) I got earlier this year from Sumatra. I've never experienced

such a wonderful leathery dry down in a natural oil.

While putting together some holiday gift sets, I opened the box of

soap I made with Agarwood, and via the olfactory memory, I was

instantly transported to a leather shop :) Those fine wood oils sure

are something else!

You've got me curious about that lavender CO2! :) Some of the CO2's

are so darn delicious! I got a sample of a cardamom that smelled just

like I just accidentally bit into one of those pungent pods hiding in

my plate of biryani!
