Guest guest
Hi folks, I figured this might be a fun little New Years topic ... anyone have any New Year's resolutions directly related to health, well being and " natural living " issues? I don't usually make " New Year's Resolutions " per se, but it is a good time marker if nothing else, so what the heck, here goes a few from me ... In the coming year I plan on eating more veggies and salads via getting my garden more together. It doesn't get much more local than that, and as the Gulf Coast TX folks know, we can grow some neat gourmet stuff here! . I just bought a bike and plan to go riding, with the kids, on a regular basis. Also, I'd like to get strict with myself about not eating after 7 PM (or 3 hours before bedtime). *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.czluxe.com http://www.alittleolfactory.com

My resolution is, in a round about way, related to health...I have decided to focus hard on Living in the moment! I frequently spend to much time looking toward what's next, and preparing for it, so miss precious moments, especially with my children. I sat down last night and played horseoploy, and watched Ratatoulle, had a ball, and great conversation with my kids. We decided we had to MAKE a game night and stick to it. Any time you can get a 10 y/o girl and a 15y/o boy to sit down together it's BIG. BTW Ratatouille is a must see, although it is about food, isn't it scent first....Reme makes some insights regarding flavor and blending that will hit home for all of us! And it's Disney...ahhh the memories Cheers, Lynn
Guest guest
I've decided to say NO more often. Meaning... No you cannot have that extra piece of cake even if it is made with organic flour. No I will not have 1 more drink, even if it is organic beer. No I do not want to go see your Grandmother who likes to insult everyone because she's 90 (whatever) and she thinks it's her right. No I will not become slave to the grind. No I will not get tied down in someone else's garbage, anger, whatever that doesn't suit me. No I will not buy that thing that is sitting at the " impulse " aisle at Walmart. And Yes. more often too. Yes to starting my stand up routine. Yes to moderation (that means in my ocd thoughts and other areas) Yes to Happiness Yes to financial security (even though some people think it's a fluke) Yes to Friends and family (but No when they ask if I want a beer or wine or whiskey) Yes to a fabulous future. Yes to healthy boundaries. Yes to me time... and to find out what Me time actually is... without having to threaten people within an inch of their lives to get it either. And above all. Yes to prosperity, happiness and love for all of my friends, family, acquaintances and especially to my nemesis... The Grandmother, cause even though she makes me cringe, You have to hand it to her.. She has made it a long time, and anyone living that long should have all of this and more. (sorry if I sound like one of those Public speaking people who make up slogans...But hey... hopefully you're chuckling at some of these.) Now my bed time is right about 10PM Actually I think getting more sleep has helped me lose weight (among other good things)! http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/lose-weight-while-sleeping *Smile* Chris (list mom - who actually wants to take a nap right now, but that isn't happening! http://www.czluxe.com http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Guest guest
I resolve to FLY, As defined by FlyLady. http://FlyLady.net That includes going to bed on time and getting up in time to do Yoga, first thing. Keeping my house in some degree of order by following routines, and being as productive as I can be without becoming anal about it. Losing some " body clutter " , with the help of FlyLady and herbs. Must MOVE more in winter. Being on top of the garden season this year. Harvesting all herbs at peak time. Make tinctures by the Moon.Take tea and kitchen herbs down and store when they are ready instead of letting them get old and moldy and useless. (blushing in shame) Enjoy each and every day. Guest guest
My New Year's Resolutions are: Try to get on a better routine with going to bed at a an earlier time and to do LOTS more walking. Last year, I really tried to loose some weight and have done well BUT I could still loose 20 lbs so onward and upward with the veggies. Also, I have problems with my stomach or I am trying to get that stright with probiotics and enzimes. Keep my art/soap studio in much better order. Along with my house. I want to get my garden started now! The planning takes time and I usually start too late. I want to start serving more veggies out of my own garden. My husband are also going more green and want to donate more this year.
