Guest guest
Hey ladies and gentlemen... I received the best gift ever in the whole world, this Christmas... this might be a long story... I had been to chuck ee cheeses (or however you spell it) and they had one of those Dance games where you try to match the arrows that go across the screen with the music. ( watched my daughter have a ball on it... and this is more inexpensive than a years worth of Jazzercise classes.) Well. My husband during the year bought (and I wanted to chew him up and spit him out, but I didn't) a Play station 2. (and guitar hero and guitar hero II) I didn't like the fact that we yet had another electronic thing in the house for the kids to get sucked into. I have ADHD so I don't get sucked in anywhere too long..(cept work or a friends house.) So I told my husband I'd like to get one of those Dance games that goes with it because it has a work out mode. (oh yeah.. Fun work out, cool music and it's something my kids can get into.) Well I opened it on Christmas day and put it aside because well.. We had to visit. You know how Christmas is Everyone says " let's go visit " so we did. Then I had to work.. So my game was sitting there alone... No body playing with it. I'm sure it thought it was one of the toys ready for the Island of misfit toys. But on Thursday night after I had worked my little fingers boogie to the bone... I said. I wanna play. (more like " I feel like I'm getting fat " you know that insulin surge that happens after all the sweets (it doesn't matter what it is if it's got sugar in it I get the sugar bleghs... The blues don't make you feel fat. The bleghs do.) So I set it up and I get going. OHHHHHH my heavens it is one of the funnest games I've ever played. Then it has where you can compete with up to 4 people. Granted you have to have 4 game pads, but I took it to my sister's house and She decided that she liked it so much we went on line and found her one with a game pad for cheaper than what my husband paid for mine. And... The most wonderful thing. My somewhat actively challenged daughter (I don't like calling her lazy cause it's not really laziness it's just boredom.) Loves it so much that her and my niece played it for like 3 hours straight... Talk about fun.. Now if I could get the kids off of it and play would be even better. Jennifer... Guest guest
Jennifer, I bought one of those games for Christmas too (for myself). Actually, I saw them at Kohl's - $16 for a single, $24 for a double - and bought one for my 3 siblings who have children as well as one for myself. It really is alot of fun and does keep you moving. It has been too cold and snowy here to go out much so I've played it a couple times. I always get the " mom you are so bad at this " from my son so if he says that he has to try it himself so he at least gets the exercise too! I like it too because its a workout when you only have 5 minutes to do it! Oh, and someone mentioned the movie Ratatoulli! Yes, we saw that and I really enjoyed it. I really dislike Disney, but this movie was worth it. And I liked the philosophy of 'anyone can cook'.
