i'm finally going to a gyn dr. after refusing for 8 years. i've had

severe hot flashes, trouble sleeping for at least 9 years. my previous

dr. refused to believe that i could be perimenopausal because i was too

young (40 at the time).

i've tried every herbal protocal my herbalist and i can think of to no

avail. i'm planning to ask this new dr. what can be done to check my

adrenals and thyroid because i'm wondering if that could be the problem.

i dealt with a skin problem most of my life only to find out about 15

years ago that it was a milk allergy. of course drs. only gave me

steroids - shots, creams, pills........ so now i wonder if rather than

menopause, i'm dealing with the affects of all the steroids as well.

lately i've had a 'new' symptom (don't know if it's related). different

areas of my body below my waist suddenly feel like my skin in vibrating

- almost like a cell phone on vibrate is touching me. it just lasts for

a minute, stops, then starts somewhere else.

if anyone has advice, i'm all ears - desperate ears. also, if anyone

knows of anything else i should discuss with this dr., please tell

desperately...........bonnie

place an amethyst under your pillow it can heal insomia. Also burn a camomile

insence or candle 30 minutes before bed time. You might thhink about a tea

called Sleepy time or sweet dreams. After these things You will go to sleep,

promise. I have had insomia for years so i do understand. If you need an

amethyst I can get you one for a very low fee. If you buy from another place

make sure it is cleanse, charged and programed to what you want it to do for

you. You can always email me or im me, i am always glad to help.

From a functional medicine perspective, there are 5 things that can make you

ill:

infection

toxicity

allergies

stress

bad diet

A trip to a functional medicine doctor (google functional medicine and you will

find links

identifying appropriately trained practitioners) will work to sort out which of

these are

related to your situation.

Since the vibrating is a neurological symptom, it could be some sort of heavy

metal

toxicity, but guessing is not the way to go. There are simple challenge tests a

physician

can get for you (Genova Labs) so you can see how much is being chelated out to

know

what's there.

This is a challenging journey, I'm enroute if you have questions...

I would suggest the same thing for you that I wrote to Jan.It was

recently written that women who have been prescribed estrogen as a

standard treatment for menopause /hot flashes didn't need it ,they

needed thyroid.

Also natural progesterone cream that you can find at a health food

store helps tremendously as does geranium oil.Find a copy of Dr Lees

book " What your Dr doesn't tell you about perimenopause " I think this

is the title if not it's close.Just look up Dr Lee.

http://www.johnleemd.com/He has several books that address this.
