Guest guest
Dede, great post! Thinking of you gardening and ranching in Texas makes me smile. Dede raises the whole food sensitivity issue. It doesn't matter what wonderful things you sniff or how perfect your supplements are if you are eating foods that your body just cannot handle. A dear online friend who " tried everything " is feeling better than she ever has because she finally removed gluten from her diet. It turns out her whole family has Celiac disease. Experts who determine your allergies can cost a pretty bundle. Fortunately you are still allowed to play with your food without benefit of a doctor. One great place to learn about this is the website of Dr. Phil Bate. I don't share his fondness for isolated vitamins, but his e-book is excellent and the website is a treasure trove of good information, especially on the mind/body connection. He has instructions on how to test yourself for food sensitivities, and work with rotation diets if you have them. http://drbate.com Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com (blog) http://wildhealing.net (Rainforest Herbs) http://wildwholefoods.net (AFA algae)
