Guest guest
Hey, Ien - you ol' Canadian Hoot!! Yes, it's been really, really tough! I've had a few " come to Jesus " discussions with docs through all this. My regular doc said to me, " Sometimes women just don't age well. " I laughed out loud, really loud!! SURELY he didn't mean ME!!! (I'd stopped coloring my hair and now have a lovely white head of hair ... I wouldn't call that a problem with aging!) Frankly, food rotation is hard when you live alone. I tend to make a big batch of stuff and eat on it for days. So I've had to change lots of habits (UGH!) Regarding gluten/celiac -- lots of folks of Irish and Scandanavian descent carry the gene. Very often it doesn't " kick in " until after a major (of series of) stressor: can be major operation, having a baby, etc. 2/3 of the people have problem with diarrhea, the other 1/3 have the opposite. But regarding food sensitivies, typically the foods you eat most often (and therefore like the most), are the culprits. I've had to sacrifice breakfast tacos for now (OH the HORROR!) But I was in such pain, and no energy beyond work, that I was determined to find out what it was. Who knew it was what I was eating????
