Guest guest
Howdy, folks! Nice place ya got here! Here is my first question for ya: I am currently on a weight release regimen that requires one to avoid all products containing fats and oils due to the propensity of the body on this delicate and demanding protocol to absorb them and utilize them in lieu of the abnormal body fats. However, it is my understanding that essential oils do not contain fats. I wanted to know if any of your essential oil experts would have biochemical information on whether it would be possible to use essential oils in their pure state, unmixed with any vegetable oils, on one's body and not have them absorbed through the skin and used as a fat. I know, for example, that others on this protocol have had trouble with coconut oil based lotions and the like. I am just not familiar enough with the chemical properties of essential oils to understand if I am on to something here, as it would be a boon to all of us to be able to use these beneficial substances while on the regimen (it is use of hCG, by the way). Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer and for your attention to my question. Blessed, healthy & prosperous be, Shalom! Guest guest
Hi ShalomSerene, Your skin acts first and foremost as a barrier and does not absorb any substance much past the first few dermal layers. There are those that argue that the smaller molecular size of some essential oils 'may' allow permeation through the skin and into the bloodstream. I think that's highly unlikely; scent molecules are most likely absorbed into the body through inhalation. Sublingually (under your tongue) is a pathway for herbal tinctures and homeopathics systemically (via the bloodstream), however, it would not be wise to use concentrated essential oils in this manner. Most who are trained in aromatherapy will advise to dilute them first and to stick to topical applications. You can find information about potential skin irritation, sensitization and the possibility of photosensitization here: http://www.wingedseed.com/Information/BE_SAFE_AND_SMART.htm When you say others on the program have had problems with coconut oil based lotions, could you explain further? I would suspect that the injections are changing your body chemistry and physiology so that adverse reactions to some topical applications may occur. What do the doctors overseeing your protocol say about this? Is the requirement to avoid all oils and fats, even topically, just recommended or a requirement of the program? There are very mild vegetable oils, infused oils, as well as gentle lotions that you might consider using to dilute your essential oils. Best of luck with your protocol. Guest guest
Howdy, Marcia, Thanks for the info! What I mean about the probs folks are having with coconut oil based lotions and the like is that they actually do find that the weight release rate is stalled or that they even gain when they use such products, even something like oil based chap sticks. So apparently there is some truth to what the doctors have told us about the fat being absorbed through the skin. No one is having adverse effects on the skin itself or any other problems like that. In fact, most of us find that we feel way better. There is an obvious detox happening, especially at the beginning of a round, but mostly in the form of diarrhea or cold like symptoms that all pass quickly. It is actually doctor recommended part of the protocol to avoid fat containing products, including even makeup, during the hCG phase. BTW, I am not doing the injections. Many of us have discovered a way to mix the hCG (I use sublingual B12 & colloidal silver) and take it sublingually, and it works just as well as those giving themselves injections. Thing is, I really would like to continue to use my own personal essential oil blend for fragrance, and have thought about experimenting to see if it stalls my progress, but every ounce is important when ya got 80 total to drop, so I have been reluctant to guinea pig my self. That is why I wondered if I could get more info from folks in the know before trying it. Thanks yet again! Blessed, healthy & prosperous be, Shalom! PS If interested in my progress, you can check out my YouTube dot com / Sheepra video log...it is ongoing. I'd like to be able to tell my rs to go buy some essential oils based on expert advice! Or not, as the case may be:) , " Marcia Elston " <samara wrote: > > Hi ShalomSerene, > > Your skin acts first and foremost as a barrier and does not absorb any > substance much past the first few dermal layers.
