Guest guest
Hey, Kathleen - >> " soft voice, soft tone, nicey-nicey, honey and flies " speech that people are always saying to use on these MO-rons.<< I am pro soft-talking to the fully entrenched. Being in an MLM does not make you a moron, anyone can do it. I have tried many approaches with MLM-ers. Starting with in-your-face research, right up to telling a lady she was killing her cat. I wasn't winning any allies. I did fell better, knowing I was on the winning side, fighting. Here are some reasons why MLM-ers get into it, and why they stick with it. The hope that they will fix other people. The hope that they will feel better. The hope that they will have the best, and have better self-worth. The hope that they will make lots, and lots of money. The hope that they will have a built-in community. The hope that they can trust, and believe in themselves. The hope that they will make a difference in the world. The hope that they will connect to intuition, God, & spirituality. Okay, now take a walk in this persons shoes for a minute: You are a fully-employed Sales Manager for a technology company Your fully-trained massage therapist, whom you trust, got you started in the MLM to help with chronic back & knee pain........ They say you will be healthy, out of pain, thriving. You have been happily forking over lots of $$ for what is quoted as the only pure, therapeutic, organic oils made in America on sustainable farms. You have been told that the oils you are using make you more of a woman and bring you closer to God. If someone comes into that dream, and opens a conversation about you being wrong, you instantly put up a wall. Of course you doubt them, look at what you are getting from the MLM! You'll work to protect yourself and your investment. If, however, you are approached by someone who also thinks essential oils are fantastic, who also thinks there is a lot of hope that things are going to be better, and someone who trusts their own intuition......This is someone you can talk to. Especially if the oils in the blend they have smell something like the oils in the line you are used to (like Ylang-Ylang added to almost anything). Starting the discussion this way plants seeds that there is another way to achieve whatever it is the person is looking for. Sure, inside you are screaming: " Put those oils down and walk away! Don't buy from them! " But you are also making progress. It's been effective for me. Hope you all get a chance to try it. Eventually, you get to fill them in on all the disgusting details. Cheers, Christina
Guest guest
Christina You and I are talking about apples and oranges. You're talking about the ignorant who get involved. I'm talking about the MOrons who perpetuate the myth preaching to those who don't want to know any better because it affects their pocket book. I can and do talk nice to people who are asking questions. Talked to a woman on the phone for over half an hour who was calling with questions about GY and YL. I talked nice. I was not rude and I didn't use the word crap ONCE. I did call GY a con artist though. At the end of the conversation, no way was she getting involved. So see... I can behave myself. But not with those MOrons who post about the ridiculously expensive garbage they're selling called CARE. They're hard core. They don't care what you post, how nice you are about it. They are stupid, greedy, unkind, mindless drones following malicious, grasping, nauseating, liars of fictious facts and carefully plotted out fables. Altogether a different animal that what you be talking about ;-) K On 1/22/08, Christina M <BodyAmbrosia wrote: > > . > > > -- Kathleen Petrides Bead Hussy http://www.BeadHussy.com

Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, I know you know the difference between the innocents who get sucked in, and the hard core. That post was only partly to you. I wrote my post in part because I know some people who initially went with YL, learned of their mistake, and now are among us. And not that long ago I had a little chat with one who said that she feels she is being put down when people put down YL-ers, because she was once one. It's different than knocking the company. And I really don't think that a lot of people know how to draw out a YL-er. I didn't. It sure helps to relate - and you are the Queen at that, Kathleen. It's just that some people might think that YL-ers are bright at all, because of the way we have talked about them in the past. And how often do we ask about what motivates them, or why YL is so effective. But now that we are only calling the hard core ones " stupid, greedy, unkind, mindless drones following malicious, grasping, nauseating, liars of fictious facts and carefully plotted out fables " ....I'm sure we're on the right track!
