Guest guest
I'm just wondering this; I often see descriptions for shea butter as saying it is used as a cooking oil. I can't find any nutritional value info on it, nor have I actually ever seen any shea butter " food " recipes. Has anyone ever cooked with it? Is it nutritionally good to cook with, say, compared to cooking with actual butter? Susan
Guest guest
It's too expensive to go cooking with it...IMHO. Guest guest
Thank you for looking. I'm not interested in cooking with it, either. I think because I've used it on my skin since I learned about it that I don't think of it as being edible. Anyway, I see that it is sometimes used as a substitute for cocoa butter in food or used for cooking with and am curious as to how it compares to butter in the areas of calories, saturated fat, etc. It's so good for the outside of you I was wondering about the inside, too. Thanks, Susan , Jennifer Janek-Markey <pixieladie wrote: > > http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN & cpsidt=16578355 > > > I found this, but I'm still looking Susan, just cause I wouldn't use it > for cooking doesn't mean you can't. > > Jennifer > Jennifer Janek-Markey wrote: > > > > It's too expensive to go cooking with it...IMHO. > > > > Jennifer > > > > . > > >
