Apothecary Keeper - do you use it?

Hello Everyone,

I'm interested in purchasing the Apothecary Keeper software and would appreciate

feedback and comments from anyone who has tried it or uses it regularly. Do you

like it? Any problems you can identify?

I'm hesitant to purchase it online, as I've attempted to contact Blue Moon many,

many times and they don't respond to e-mail inquiries or phone calls.

Hi Holly,

I have it and use it. I like it. The only think I'd like to see is on the

formulas being able to extend the lines as some of my formulas have lots of

ingredients. For now I just use 2 and when pricing it out add the totals. For

the money it's a good program to have imo.

Don't know why you wouldn't get a response but maybe something is keeping him

from contacting you. He used to advertise on the list so maybe that will help.

Holly, as you said, I tried for over a month to contact Blue Moon Software

to no avail. Messages don't bounce, they are just not replied to. A

friend copied her disk for me to try out, to see if it would meet our

needs. I need the option to import lists of vendors, ingredients,

etc...have no intention of manually entering thousands of items into the

program's database. There does seem to be a menu item called " import " but

totally NO help or info available about it. No indication of the file

format, file names, etc...nowhere to start with an import.

I think the software would be useful for someone just starting out... if

you have half a dozen ingredients from two or three vendors, it would be

easy to add them individually. If you have preexisting long lists... it's

not worth the trouble.

I'd love to use it for the ease of transferring raw materials (ie,

essential oils, carriers, bottles, etc.) from the inventory items they are

currently counted in into the inventory column for 'finished

products'... but at this point, it's not going to happen here.

Hi Marge,

Thank you so much for verifying that my experience isn't isolated.

I too would love to try the software, as I think it would work

very well for my immediate needs, but I'm not willing

to venture into the " no response " arena in the process,

so your input has been most helpful.

If anyone ever has contact with the Blue Moon people

in the future, I'd love to know about it!
