Guest guest
Hey everyone First. The golden Retriever. I always said that when we move (this summer if all goes well) we would get a Golden Retriever. Well, I went ahead and got one NOW. However, appearances can be deceiving. My golden retriever is 10 months old. Gold eyes and gold fur with a persian carpet type pattern in his fur. He also has very sharp teeth and VERY sharp claws. Oh and almost no tail. For those of you who have ever been owned by one of these, one word will s'plain it all.... Manx. Yes, my Golden Retriever is a Manx cat. Boy has he got the retrieving part down beautifully. He has this nasty faux leopard fur slipper that he adores. And if you throw it he will go get it and bring it back to you. And therein lies the " problem " . First you don't want him to bring it back because that means you have to throw it again and unlike a genuine Golden he has not learned to " release " . Very posessive of his slipper he is and like the predator that he is, if it twitches, it's still alive and it needs to be killed. And if your hands are doing the twitching, they become ipso facto prey. I can't count the number of pin pricks, scratches, bloody rips and tears I have in me poor hands. But you GOTTA throw the thing. He really wants you to... I gotta buy me some leather gauntlets man! The one advantage this Golden has over the more gentle ones is that if you have lousy aim and it ends up on the dvd shelves or on top of the laundry basket or washing machine etc., this one can at least leap, climb and hook those rotten little claws to get it and of course >sigh< bring it back. Oh, and the other cat has learned not to even LOOK at the slipper. He get's growled at even if he's sitting several feet away. Poor baby! ROFLMAO! Now the opinion part (if you please).... http:/www.beadhussy.com/vases.htm Yes, I decorated them and it's done from the inside. many thanks (in advance) K -- Kathleen Petrides Bead Hussy http://www.BeadHussy.com
