Hi Lana-

I don't have a recipe, but I use an amazing one that this shop makes

and I love it. It is a combo of Patchouli and Rose.

My skin is the same as yours and it has done wonders.

Just wanted to share!

KY,

If you liked the rose water I think you would like any herbal

distillate or hydrosol. They make great toners mainly because of

their acidic pH. I distill several of them and have them for sale.

With oily skin you might try fennel. You could add some alcohol to it

as a preservative and a little glycerin too as a humectant.

I have never used face toners in my life. What exactly do these do?

Thanks

Hi Joyce

My understanding is that facial toners help to adjust

the skin ph back to its normal level after washing.

(Most facial cleansers are somewhat alkaline.) I guess

if your cleanser has a ph of 6.5 or less, you wouldn't

need a toner unless you had a humectant in it and were

using it as a moisturizer too.

For myself, I just like a refreshing spritz now and

again.
