Guest guest
I have a friend who asked me about some cancer treatments. She is under the care of doctors and is just searching options. Does anyone know where a recipe for the Hoxsey formula is listed? All I've found are the don't listen to him he's a quack sights or people attempting to sell bottled versions. She likes to make her own stuff and I need a recipe if possible. Thanks, Kathryn

The best resource I know of for the kinds of salves and internal herbal potions Hoxey used is the book and site of the same name: www.cancersalves.com the site and book are by Ingrid Naiman. She's a very interesting woman. The book is worth the price for the materia medica alone. It's one of my favorites and I reread it every couple of years. Note that there were many other people using " black salves " down through the ages, starting with Hildegard von Bingen in Europe and the Native Americans in North America. There's a dedicated to the use of these salves too. Go to the groups home page and search for " black salves " , the group is for the use of the salves with animals. It's large and prolific Also, I have heard Hoxey's clinics are still extant... well, sort of. Supposedly, after his death, his chief nurse headed down to Mexico and opened a couple of clinics using his protocols, I have heard. I am not sure what city, but it's south of California, I think. ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Ingrid Naiman is one of my all time heroines. She has a number of websites, all fascinating. Her book would definitely be worth it. However: If I had Cancer, I would invest in a Ralph Moss report before I did anything else. http://Ralphmoss.com It can save months of research time. Even within the holistic field, different approaches work best for different cancers or people. Ralph Moss is that rare expert: someone without an ideological axe to grind, who knows both the allopathic establishment approached and the wholistic ones. He uses the best of both worlds. We need more people like him. Hope that was helpful Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com (blog) http://wildhealing.net (Rainforest Herbs) http://wildwholefoods.net (AFA algae)
