Guest guest
Hi, I have some sandalwood EO which I'm sort of using as perfume. Does anyone know if it's harmful applied directly to the skin? TIA Bob
Guest guest
No essential oil should be applied to the skin undiluted apart from tiny amounts for medicinal use on spots or grazes. Sandalwood oil is pretty safe, but from personal experience, it can cause awful irritation if applied in hot humid areas such as under the armpits. Guest guest
Hi Bob, Sandalwood essential oil is used in many perfumes . . . As long as it is diluted (overall eo dilution ranging from 3-15% depending on product desired, i.e., body spray, cologne, parfum), it will be safe for skin application.
