Anybody have a good source for oil based echinacea extract? Essential Wholesale

used to carry one in glycerin, but apparantly they don't have it any more.

Hi Maggie,

Off the top of my head I don't know of anyone carrying an oil based

one commercially .. have you considered infusing a batch yourself? Its

really easy to make :)

BTW - I love the YouTube video! Its something we were considering

ourselves and you've inspired me! :)

Hey, are you doing the Rockport Herb Festival? A few gals on the list

here from the Houston area are going and I think Ellen Zimmerman -

herbalist from your neck of the hill country is going :) I'm still

figuring if I am ...

Aromatherapy, herbs, natural living, etcThanks Chris. We've been infusing our

own oils for many years but are looking for faster and easier ways now. :o) I

wish we had time to do shows, I know I'm going to miss them. Say Hi to Ellen

for me. Lovely lady.

Hi Sindy,

You sure can use a crock pot, just make sure to monitor it so it

doesn't get too hot, as you don't want to be frying the herbs :)

A candy thermometer works great . . . Keep your temps at a steady 100

degrees for perfection. Laughing, remembering when I first started infusing

oils a hundred years ago and tried the light bulbs in a box method. Worked

fine, but things are a lot simpler now.

And, Sindy, you might want to toss the oil that has had herbs in it since

last summer. Have you been hot infusing all this time? If so, you've

surely lost any efficacy in your product; if not, you surely have bacterial

growth of some kind by now.

Be well,
