Guest guest
OK, I hate to muddy the water on this subject, but there are two sides to everything. First: I am against horse slaughtering, let there be no misunderstanding on that. However, believe it or not, NOT slaughtering horses isn't necessarily a " good thing. " Why? Because of owners of horses can't send their old or whatever horses off to slaughter, or if they can't afford to feed them anymore, or treat them when sick or ill, or whatever reason -- the horses stay out in pastures and basically slowly starve to death - an extremely painful and horrible way to go. Sometimes local animal shelters get called in and rescue them, and by that time it can be way too late. Any way, I'm just throwing that out there. Not all slaughter houses use the " humane approach " , many do. Not everyone can afford to keep a horse until it gets old and dies (and have the guy down the road with a backhoe come and dig a big hole, like we do) - and they are not always easy to get sold, either. So which is the best way to go? Dede , " cindy " <tshook wrote: > > hey everybody, before you sign this pettition, please google it.
