Guest guest
ardis, i am so jealous. I looked into that a few years back, but it was impossible for me to go to. I'm in conn. and it lasted several weeks and several thousands. I inquired as to some one teaching on the east coast and then they told me about the contract where you can train horses, but you agree to never teach or show how to train. I thought that was so sad, because it seems to have great success, but unless you can get to minn it won't be shared. cin
Guest guest
Hi Cindy! If you EVER get a chance to attend the MN Horse Training Academy - it's worth Every dime you spend!! I have six horses lined up right now to train (as soon as it stays +30's - predicted -20 tonight!!!) Mr. Surrett is the best as far as I'm concerned. Every thing is covered with your initial fee, except your own food. I loved every minute of it and learned so darn much. What I really found out is that I CAN train any horse - any thing I want to because I was sent home after three weeks with the knowledge to do just that --- And - I'm doing it!! Best part is... the horses don't sass back or tell me what to do, I can " come in late " and do over-time if I desire and I have no one to explain to. I absolutely love doing it. If you ever get the opportunity - do yourself a favor and GO! There were some folks in the Oct. class that could not bring their animals due to the fact they drove a long distance or came on a plane. A horse was provided - an untouched stud was one of them, with world champion winners on both sides of his pedigree - the man put him through the three weeks and ended up buying the horse, paid to have him transported to his home in AZ for a very minimal cost!! Check it out girl. You won't regret it. I sure don't. I'm going back again in June, 2008, as an intern and will get my certification then. Live your dream. I am, and I'm 58 yrs old!!
