Guest guest
Hi Noeljayashree, The best way to clean used glass is to clean thoroughly with hot soapy water, then rinse with water and then rinse with an alcohol. We prefer to rinse with a product called Everclear - it is about 190 proof, but it is very expensive and you can only get it in a few states. Alternative - vodka - unflavored of course. Then once you have rinsed your glassware, turn it upside down to dry on clean paper towels. The alcohol rinse should help remove any extremely tiny amounts of essential oils still left in the bottle. As for any plastic bottles, you can try to clean them the same way, but unfortunately plastic has a tendancy to want to keep the odors. Not all plastic, but some. Good luck. DAWN dishwashing liquid...accept no substitute. (You might add a shot of orange essential oil, it too is a wonderful grease cutter.) For essential oils... let the bottle soak in rubbing alcohol for a period of time, THEN drain and wash in hot soapy water or the dishwasher. (soap and water, alone, won't dissolve the eo's, or remove their aroma, that's what the initial 'alcohol bath' is for.
