Honey Bee Sunflower project

Around 25% of our honey bees have died in the Colony Collapse Disorder

of recent years. You can search the group archives for more on it if

you're reading this on the Natural Perfumery group, or search the

web.This die off has profound ecologial implications, and can

drastically affect our crops that need pollination.

 

SF State University is promoting the Great Sunflower Project, and need

your help. They want you to plant sunflowers and report back on the

honey bees that visit the blooms. They'll send you a packet of sunflower

seeds if you promise to plant them and report back. They have given out

3,500 kits and have 6,500 left. Visithttp://greatsunflower.org to sign

up.
