Guest guest
Hey all. Once again looking for some suggestions. I work at my local alternative school, and we're getting ready to do an all girl's day with our female students. We wanted to have them make some of their own beauty products. But money is an issue (so making their own bottles of lotion is out... *grr* they would have liked that one too). Any suggestions for what I can use (especially scent wise) that won't hurt the ole pockets too much. And my girls won't be too concerned about the nature of the products (ie, organic, etc), only that it smells good. Christa
Guest guest
Maybe you'd want to try some kitchen cosmetics using ingredients like oatmeal, yogurt, strawberries, mangos, cucumbers? The challenge could be to use only things found in the market or drugstore, and everyone could choose an ingredient to bring. My favorite bath tea blend of all time is just equal parts oatmeal, powdered milk, and lavender buds. Guest guest
What type of preservative do you use in your sugar scrub? (Is it vegetable gycerin, and how much of whatever it is you use??) A nice air freshener can be an easy thing to make as well. I use a 2 oz. spray bottle, (Walmart) and fill it with distilled water, and about 15 drops of your favorite essential oil. Shake well before each use, and you're good to go! Anatolian Treasures has the best prices for esssential oils, and they are a great quality! Guest guest
Here's a simple scented bath powder recipe I know that uses ingredients found at your local grocery store or CVS: Ingredients: 1/2 cup corn starch 1/2 cup rice flour 5-6 drops of your favorite perfume or essential oil Place corn starch and rice flour in resealable plastic bag. Add oil. Seal and shake gently until well blended. Apply powder with a shaker type container or puff. Makes 8 oz. Hope that helps. Angel , " Christa " <misseallonardo wrote: > > Hey all.
