Guest guest
I have spiders in my house that was built in 1925. Our elderly neighbor would never kill a spider. They had what is called a " Michigan basement " - yes, I live in MI. Their basement was dirt floor. She said the spiders would kill the other really bad bugs that were in the house, so she let the spiders live. I have since adopted her attitude to a degree. If the spider is invading my territory (hanging over my bath tub, for instance) and near food and other " family " areas, I kill it. We have a problem every year at this time with ants. We are trying to get away from spraying the usual commercial sprays and using natural methods to keep them out of the house, but it is becoming very difficult. We are using coffee grounds around the house and I just saw a post about using bay leaves so as soon as I post this I will go to the kitchen and get out some bay leaves to put on the counters.(and on the floor??) It is just terrible when the ant falls off the microwave into the gravy you are cooking! LOL That was funny! I put it around windows and doors, wherever you see them coming in. Yet,I don't want them all gone. I keep the smaller ones for my house plants. They keep my garden and my house plants clean of bugs. Hope this helps. Sage
