words from: " severe esophageal " burn " from gall bladder/liver problems and am in

constant pain with a " hot, " burning sensation in my chest and neck that won't

quit and hasn't been able to hardly eat "

does anyone have any advise/help for this poor man?

thanks!

Yes, two things -- one of which you may not like but for short term

relief, it's not going to hurt anything: prilosec. Once or twice a

day. It will give relief, and help heal - which is extremely

important in terms of what long term damage can do.

Now, the second thing - doesn't involve herbs & oils, etc., and is a

lot of trouble -- but more than likely these symptoms are caused by

food intolerances. Typically the thing he likes most to eat (isn't

it always that way????)

Food intolerances are different from allergies. Allergies you have a

strong reaction within 15-20 minutes, swelling, hives, etc. Food

intolerances are more slow to develop -- wheat/gluten is the best

known.

I had tests done for food intolerances -- my most reactive thing was

eggs. My stomach/throat problems went away when I avoided eggs.

Someone I knew had excema and it went away when they took eggs out of

their diet. Does that mean I can't eat eggs ever again? No -- I

can. I just had to avoid them for a few months, and then eat them

only infrequently.

Usually we develop intolerances for foods we most often eat -- my

numbers for tomatoes and cheese were also high ... there went my

favorite breakfast tacos! But I feel so much better, no headaches,

no stomach problems, sleep better, and joints don't hurt as much.

Morning all,

& nbsp;

I had my gall bladder removed some 10 years ago and occasionally get that rather

nasty gastric reflux. & nbsp; I get this usually when I have over-indulged in

anything - alcohol, salami, muesli.

& nbsp;

First thing I try is bicarbonate of soda. & nbsp; I take about 1/2 a teaspoon in

water and swig it down and then (hopefully) burp the problem away.

& nbsp;

If that doesn't work I put myself onto a regime of 1/2 teaspoon of green clay

before breakfast and get rid of the taste by having a cup of tea. & nbsp; I do

this for a days and the problem goes.

& nbsp;

The clay I use is the french Argelitz brand.

I can't stand the taste of the commercial stuff - I even find the smell

nauseating. & nbsp;

I also have had my gal l bladder removed .. And have a lot of stomach problems.

I make sure I eat a green salad every day with fresh fennel in it .fennel aids

in digestion .also you want to question your dr who removed your gall bladder to

see if they did any tests on it after being removed .. If you are a lover of

rare meat like I am you should be checked for parasites and infections do to

poorly handled meat . my gall came back positive for a infection that cause

ulcers. if not taken care of .

HI Pam

I don't have any alternative type of treatment

suggestions, but I am wondering if this fellow has

been to see a doctor. His symptoms sound really

severe. He could have a gastric or esphageal ulcer and

these can become pre-cancerous conditions. Alternative

and complementary treatment approaches are great, but

not a substitute for a medical evaluation in the

setting of a potentially very serious disease process.

I hope your friend gets some relief of his symptoms

very soon. I have occasionally had problems with

esophageal reflux and I know how painful it can be.

All the best!

Patty
