[SPAM]How do you dispose of essential oils and supplies when they are past date?

I was told to use 100% grain alcohol in order to thoroughly cleanse the bottles,

but I do not think I can get it in NY state. Any suggestions?

I have gallon size amber jars that had herbs in them, and even after washing

with soap and hot water, and rinsing very well with

clean hot water and distilled vinegar, I cannot get the smell out of them or

the caps. These particular ones held peppermint leaf

and lavender herb. I would like to reuse them for storing coconut oil but

don't know if the lingering smell will taint the oil. They

are too large to put in the dishwashwer.

glass bottles. First I soak them in hot soapy water and use a bottle

brush to clean them out then put them in the hottest cycle of the

dishwasher.
