I mean .. how do you know how much (if any) oil this plant would or should yield? " Butch (and others), I should have been more precise....What I meant to say was that if I start out with a pint of sweet almond oil to infuse, by the time I'm done soaking and straining a few times I end up with about a cup and a third (at most) of infused oil, even with pressing. Apparently the leaves of the snowbrush (ceanothus velutinus) soak it up. " .. perhaps this plant has no Essential Oil to yield " Well, this is something to consider isn't it! I truely appreciate the helpful responses I've gotten. One more thing: Is there a concensus on what is the best oil to use for an infusion?
