Guest guest
Evening all; Been meaning to send in a note for a while now, and only have sent in a couple of quick ones, so I'm playing catch up. Josh: My guess about your bath salts, etc., losing their smell would be the perfume notes needed. There are others that can explain this a bit better & I would love to have a complete reference on just perfume notes in eo's for my library. Basically, for those that want to know there are three notes: Top note, doesn't stay around as long but lovely as can be while it's there. Middle note: Stays around a bit longer and can round out your scents. Base note: It will last the longest. Gotta have it or those scents change immediately. When you are doing your research find the notes for each of the eo's you are using and try to balance out your formula so that you get the best smell that will last and you may need to experiment a bunch to see how long it will last before sales. If you want your top note to last a bit longer, you will need to use a bit more of it, etc. Always use the three notes for long lasting scents tho. You can also add to your scents with inserts such as lavender buds in with your salts, or lemon peel, etc. Good luck with your research and to lasting scents. One thing you might want to consider is selling a booster bottle of scent to bump up the salts, etc., for when the scent is waning. Those can be sold in small sizes and put in the frig. of the buyer for later addition. Bumps up those sales too. Forgot to mention the Primrose gel caps for internal use along with the external. Borage will do pretty much the same or a mix of the two. Black Current oil would help also. Another soothing oil for skin is Avocado oil to add to the base of GLAs. Chickweed is supposed to be good for skin problems such as exzema and psoriasis, along with cleavers. Lymph nodes: According to where you are in the World, if Cleavers has not bloomed yet, it is a good time to pick it and make a juice of it for lymph nodes. You can just juice it or dilute it in warm water, not boiling water. This can be taken as a juice or as a poultice. Some other things to add to a Poultice would be Violets, whole plant can be used, and the root of Polk as a poultice only. Both the Violets and Polk root can be used on Breast lumps too. Never use Polk internally unless under a Doctors care, it can be dangerous, but fine as an external poultice. Note: If I were having any lymph node problems, not only is it scary as sh*t, but I would want to take Cell Food in good water, maybe some Silver hydrosol regularly sprayed into the throat, and I would also consider something like a good Essiac tea~at least two gallon run of it. Also, I would dilute the cell food and rinse my hair with it if I thought there was a problem with Staff. Above all else with staff, if I could use only one thing to combat Staff, it would be Carvacol rich Oregano essential oil in sniffer bottle, a drop or two in broth/juice whatever and sling it down, and perhaps heavily dilute some and use in shampoo or conditioner or both. That's just me, it's a lesson I've learned well from Butch. Someone was wanting natural diurectics recently and I did not have time to write, so sorry about that. Someone mentioned my main one which would be Dandelion root, it can be picked in the Summer or Fall. The leaves will work a bit , but I prefer the root. Juniper berries are a good one if you don't have any major kidney problems. Any time you are forcing yourself to water regularly, you may need to replenish minerals such as potassium. One of my favorite diurectics would be Green Tea. Man can it make you go water regularly! It can be very bland, so when I make up a batch, I tend to add a couple of organic blackberry tea bags to the water with the Green tea when steeping. It gives it a bit of a berry flavor without being so bland. There is also Jasmine Green Tea, you name it, you might can find it, but for the purest, I would think do a good green tea and add your favorite flavor to it~whether it just be lime or lemon peels~to kick it up. Drink and enjoy! You can also buy the green tea extract in capsules, not sure they work as well as the tea tho. A most fragrant evening to ya, deb Happy Fourth of July week coming up to all, in case I miss it. May you have a safe & happy one with lots of fun, food, and good scents.
