Guest guest
I am trying the suggestion to sleeping with a bar of Ivory soap. I think it works. But why? I have had cramps since sleeping with the soap but they go away quickly. Jan Young **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
One night tried, one night's success!!! I took a " fancy guest bar " of soap last night (as we are dove users regularly) and rubbed the bottom of both of my feet with them last night. Then I put them in the bed by my feet, not under the bottom sheet. I Slept!!!!!!!!! I've been on requip for my RLS previously and I'm not using it because I'm out of it. This is forcing me to try to find an alternate " cure. " The soap sure would have a lot less side affects than the meds!!!! Barb
Guest guest
maybe it reduces the friction on the sheets so when your feet and legs move, its like 'sliding' them instead of more resistance? I've hard that for years. I might just try that on hubby's side and see. I will not tell him tho......that man can take a placebo and have side effects....... e
Guest guest
That's amazing! So you just rubbed wet soap on the bottom of your feet and your RLS went away? Please keep us posted on this! I get RLS when I'm very tired, and sometimes get horrendous leg cramps at night. Guest guest
Hello! I am new to this group and look forward to learning from all of you. I am a naturopathic doctor, and I will tell you that I've found very little about natural RLS remedies (I have them occasionally, hence my profound interest!). I can say that increasing minerals (in whole foods) has resulted in nearly nonexistent RLS symptoms for me. For clients with leg cramps, I advise keeping a small bottle of liquid minerals by the bed and immediately spraying it on the cramp - it will disappear instantly. Of course, supplementing the diet with trace minerals should be the preventive course. I hope this helps someone. RLS and leg cramps are NO fun. As always, symptoms aren't to be merely alleviated, as they are signs of a systemic problem that needs to be fixed before additional dis-ease develops.
