However, I have noticed an unusual number of dead honey bees, only honey bees, on my patio of late. My husband put out those energy saving bulbs over a month ago. It would be sad if our efforts to save the environment were destroying it as well. Melissa, let's try this: I'm not going to put my light on tonight and see what happens. Then, tomorrow night I'll put it on and see what happens. I'm going to suggest you do the same experiment. I've written to the garden writer at the Miami Herald. She knows me because she featured one of my garden designs a few years ago and she was here with the State Representative the day my garden was deemed a " Florida Certified Yard " by the *Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program. Part of my testing was about how well I observe wildlife in the garden. This is the first alarming observation I've had so I'm reporting to them, too.* ** -- - perfumes, aromatics, classes, consultation
