Guest guest
I burnt my hand several weeks ago 3rd degree with second..it's healing well... it's deep and about the size of a quarter and a 1/2 ... I used emu on it ASAP..now it's healing & the skin is hard around it and I need something to make it more comfortable..I bought some slippery elm and wild root to make a soap..can you think of anything that could help me get some relief? maybe other than this idea of making the soap? something easy and not so complicated? I need relief and nothing over the counter or prescription has helped would honey work to possibly wash the wound it?? there is no chance of an infection it's just tight, still tender around the edges..the worst burn I've ever had myself..Thanks so much--Robin **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Guest guest
When I burn myself I use emu & lavender eo - has worked beautifully in healing, pain & no scarring. Guest guest
Oh Robin, I'm so sorry about your burn. The absolute best thing for burns (yes especially 3rd degree even) is the combo of 1 part Comfrey (root or leaves), 1 part Wheat Germ Oil, and 1 part Raw Honey, and a small amount of shredded lobelia. Mix these well and put the paste on your burn and keep it covered. For a new burn, this takes away the pain at once and new skin will form in approximately 3 days. Honey is an antibacterial. It is also a detoxifier. Wheat Germ oil has an abundant supply of vitamin E and is very effective in healing without scars. Comfrey is a cell proliferant; it makes new, clean good cells grow very quickly. Lobelia takes the pain away. I don't wash it off, but keep adding as needed to it. I have had burns heal with this with a minimum or no scarring whatsoever. I keep some in the fridge. Because your body is healing, the pain can be quite severe. I find that the coolness of this along with keeping it covered helps a great deal with the pain. Wheatgrass is also very good as is White Poplar. Good Luck!
