Guest guest
Have another lady on the same group that is looking for relief from major cramping - her baby is about 2 months old now and she has had no relief...someone suggested Vitex?? I didn't think that sounded right - anyone have suggestions? Pam
Guest guest
Definitely not vitex if she is nursing, as it will lower prolactin levels. Other than that, it is a great herb for balancing hormones if it is indicated for you. Guest guest
If she's nursing, she would be better off adjusting her diet, checking her sodium, potassium and magnesium and increasing her water intake. She needs to remember that her baby will ingest anything she puts into her body... Guest guest
I agree with Tym. If mama is nursing she needs to find out what she's eating that is upsetting the baby's system. If not, she needs to look into other types of formula, cause baby may well be allergic to the current one. Also, soothing practices such as baby massage can be quite helpful. I love the book Loving Hands: The Traditional Art of Baby Massage by Frederick Leboyer But going back to the original question, NO, do NOT use Vitex - in any form! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com > " Pam " <pam@> wrote: > > > > Have another lady on the same group that is looking for relief from > > major cramping - her baby is about 2 months old now and she has had no > > relief...someone suggested Vitex??
