Guest guest
in my experience i would say the best eo's for concentration are: peppermint, rosemary, lemon, basil my husband has add. i think focus is more of the add thing than concentration. the eo's i mentioned earlier are for focus. yet they are stimulating. eo's for memory - rosemary, basil, peppermint, cypress, grapefruit. notice how a lot of these overlap. as has been noted what works for one might not work as effectively for someone else. each person is unique. yet these are the oils that have that characteristic. as for mixing. i would suggest mixing 3-5 oils. i personally never use more than 5 in a blend. it has not been necessary. they can be diffused or made into a perfume to wear during the day. put it on the inside of your lower arm. you can smell it when needed. i also suggest to my customers to carry a small bottle w/them. add a cotton ball to the bottle & add 10-12 drops of the eo blend. you can take this out when needed. keep it tightly closed when not using it. every week or so (depending on how much you open it) refresh the cotton w/fresh eo's. you can make the blend in a small jar & keep it in the refrigerator & then you will not have to remix it everytime you refresh your cotton. this is a very effective way to keep it w/you. i do this for my son when he is stuffy (although for this i use rock salt instead of cotton). i also made a blend for my mom who has spasmodic coughs. taking it w/her & having it readily available is a great help. another thing w/concentration is try to keep out all background noises. a room w/out distraction can help one to focus/concentrate. living w/someone who has this problem i know how frustrating it can be.
