Guest guest
Rare but it can happen. A patient came to ER where my husband works and they found worms in his brain, basically every where. He had been out of country. He just didn't know. This man died but.....the chances that this would happen here is so low its almost a non issue. Kids get pin worms. Some kids get them and don't show signs and it resolves itself, but more often than not, if one little one has them, the doc will prescribe a dewormer for the rest of the wee ones if you have more at home. I have heard that consuming diatomaceous earth will help, I know there are formulas with black walnut and other herbs that also are supposed to kill parasites....and I think we all have natural parasites any way. I don't think there is a living creature that doesn't. That said, they generally go life long un- noticed and doing a fast now and again could help, I think if you can fast and use good liquids is a good practice anyway....we all have toxins. The way we eat at my house, very spicy foods, tons of garlic, munch on jalapenos etc we are reasonably not particulary hospitable to some parasites and worms. I did read somewhere that those who die in india , vultures will not consume them because of the spices they consume and which I am sure sticks in the body fat. Whether that is true or not.......not sure. I do take issue with some practices.....I 'hosted' at our pharmacy a naturopath. Now this man was pushing a good 375 and not in great shape. He literally told every person who came they had parasites and sold his product. We also had those products and did not expect this man to bring his own, we carried a great line of supplements, herbs, glandulars, minerals etc and one of the owners of the pharmacy was livid. the point was to show our line and increase our sales and to educate people......his agenda was to sell his own product and thats when the fight started...... I didn't invite him, I just 'hosted' . Quite an experience. This man btw sold a very good friend of mine about 300.00 of antiparasitic products....problem was.....they all were dupes of each other, he didn't need that many variants....it was all about the money. He did go to a naturopath in Oklahoma city who did not charge him after he showed what he was sold and why. This man told him 'I can't charge you for this visit, the sheer fact that you were taken advantage of by someone who claims to be one of our own cost you a fortune and I just cannot take your money and btw, toss the herbs or use one. Keep the others for later but do not use all of them in a day....' So caution and research is in order here. Even in regular medicine. The patient has to take part in their own health and education. Its gotten to that point. You can't take much at face value anymore. e
