Guest guest
Hi, I read somewhere on here about infusing. I think that's what it's called. Anyway, someone put some EO's in a something for the aroma around their house. Can someone explain more? I was thinking about trying something like this to put some calm into the air at home. We yell alot...LOL Thanks, Genevive

There's lots of ways to diffusing an EO....or EOs... And lotsa people will argue about which is better, etc. What I use is called a tea light diffuser... It's a ceramic lamp with a place for a tea lite candle at the bottom... This has a bowl for water on top...which you fill... You float a few drops of your EO(s) on the water, and light the candle...As the water warms up, the EO diffuses........ The other method I use is for hot weather.... I hang a strip of cloth with the EO(s) in it over where the cooled air blows into the room...Even though the airstream is cool...it's dehumidified, so the EO(s) are whisked into the room... As I said, there many other types of diffusers....small electric fan things, motorized atomizers/nebulizers.... During cold/flu season at work I would put EO(s) drops on a piece of kleenex tissue, wad it up, and sit it atop my computer's monitor to scent my cubicle.... About the only system I don't care for is the ring diffuser. The ring, ceramic or metal, perches atop a light bulb, and the EO(s) go into the ring... The ones I've tried seem to me to get too hot.... Hope this helps.... -- Gary W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique A.J.P. (GIA)
Guest guest
I like the first one you mentioned. It seems easy. Now if I can remember correctly isn't lavender good for calming? But I seemed get good results with the tea-lite units.... Lavender generally has that attribute... So I've always found it..... Somewheres I once read that if you were dragging, lavender could pick you up, too.... I haven't experienced that, however... -- Gary W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique A.J.P.
