Never got even a ping from my " BS/Disinformation sensor " ...

 

The Snopes website has been around for a long time collecting and

verifying Urban Legends....

 

It deserves to be in everyone's bookmarks or favorites listing...

 

In addition to being a great resource of factual information, it's

actually entertaining to browse around randomly...has an easily usable

search function....

Hi Gary,

 

Thanks, but this is one I'd run into a time or 20 in the nearly 10

years I've been making soap, so it was just a matter of waiting for

the site to be working so I could pull out the correct page (for some

reason they'd had some accessability issues recently) and post to the

list.

 

It's always the first thought when I get hold of something that hits

my BS detector, to go verify it. I start at Snopes and if I don't find

it there I start in with the search engines til I get my answer (or

lack of it).
