Guest guest
Oh Angela! I made a reference to a MLM and soooooo ticked off some people. I also have been there done that, 3 times. There is an herbal line that is MLM and I paid for a seminar and they had a heart diagram that was WRONG.....asked if anyone from the FDA or any Gov. agency please raise their hand , none did and then it was 'hi, my name is Vicky and i own a healthfood store and I cured a heart mumur in a 2 week old infant with hawthorne extract " .........I was mortified. Thankfully some skilled surgical nurses were there when I asked why she even treated a new born, but she was prescribing, diagnosing and treating and btw her diagram was wrong'.....then the nurses piped up and said 'she's right, you don't have the heart right and you don't know what you are talking about'....... What you want to do in approaching a situation like MLM in herbal fields etc is to make a disclaimer first . Every one who does MLM will feel attacked.. I'm of the mind set that if that practice does not apply to me, I don't take it on....but if it ticks people off then they need to look at themselves , they either praciticed like that or they didn't. If you do not carte' blanche across the board rely soley on one source of info vs years of practical experience you are doing very good. But there are people out there who buy in and suddenly think they can hang a shingle as an herbalist or a naturopath . I was clear in my original post. Those who do not 'cure the world' are the people you might want to purchase from. Those who have a panacea for every disease on the planet.....run as fast as you can. I have10 years of pharmacy behind me and over 20 in alternative . I did see a HUGE spike in the geriatric community of Licorice root, its natural it won't hurt you......yes, it can and if will if you have bp issues or at risk for stroke......that is documented. Also, they do have a form where the property that is the cluprit is removed and you need to know the difference. Sorry to be so lengthy but I was afraid you'd get hammered like I did. Poison Ivy is natural, lets make a salad!!!!! So for those of you who MLM...if this does not apply to how you sell, its not about you, you are the people who care. And for those who simply see dollar signs, don't do continuing education and use several sources for info.......do so at least because your customer trusts you . Thats my take, I stand by every word, even the typos' . The prices are off the chart too boot and I know who the companies are that have long standing ethical practices and products that are consistant. evie (I'm shooting my water uzi to the first flamer out there)
