Guest guest
Tina! That is the one we made! Mine do not look as pretty as theirs though. I do hope that it is as softening as pure salt has been for me. It took forever to " trace " for me. I got worried.I had the bright idea to change the recipe a bit and so we added caster oil instead of straight coconut oil. Nore than 15 percent too but at the time I didn't know. But as soon as it started to trace I added the clay, mixed it in and then salt, I mixed and poured. The larger salt crystals melted, but maybe because I added the castor oil and it was just too wet too long, or I stirred too much. I will try it with straight coconut oil next time, or less castor oil. My first bars of soap are not very pretty. I made red clay my friend made green. French green was prettier but Rhassual will be more moisturizing I think/hope. I just popped them out this morning to finish curing. This takes 2 weeks right, even for the salt bars? It'll be hard to wait. I found a site that talked about charcoal in the soap? Wouldn't that be messy both to make and use? Thank you! Guest guest
Cindy, I remember being told that a few years back now that you mention it! Homemade soap " is " alkaline. Guest guest
lol - well what do you know, Yvonne. That's my blog :-). Some people do feel that the salt bars help with eczema. I don't have it, so I can't attest to that. I just like the soap because it reminds me of when you've been at the beach all day and then get out of the shower in the evening... and your skin just feels so soft. I don't like it as much in the winter, though. It can be a little drying. Guest guest
I had a friend who was very ill in the hospital and he swore it was making him sicker, one of our friends who practices myriad alternative methods came and did salt rubs on him and brought healthy food (they tossed the trays) and my friend healed quicker and the doctors blew if off as if his immune system finally came on line but that was not what happened....his body was stimulated to do that and I've seen that done before. There is so much we dont know but I believe that every 'treatment' we ever need is on this planet in a natural form. We've just lost the elders who had the info who could have taught us. evie
