Guest guest
Many shampoos without SLS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been using it for over 6 months, and my hair is thicker. Many brands that can be found online or at a natural food store. But be careful, some still have fragrances, formaldehyde releasers, petro chemicals, and parabens, which are all nasties. I personally like BWC brand. (Beauty without cruelty) Lori - J M Hi I've 2 queries, hope someone out there knows the answers, no. 1 do you need lye to make liquid soaps and body washes? secondly, are there any shampoos available without SLS, ? a friend whose husband makes shampoos told me that it is not possible to make shampoo without SLS? any comments, confused with all the contradictory information thanks in advance J
Guest guest
I dont use sls. I have a 'go to lady' who does a minimal ingredient liquid glycerin soap. I add what I want in it , silk , castor , scent and its all I use. My hair is in better shape now than when I was younger.....and my daughter doesn't get dry scalp and cannot return to the store brands.....so buy glycerin liquid and make your own. If you need to thicken it, I like crothix. If you have extra dry scalp, I will compromise and use hydrovance. With that , the silk, the glyerin base....nice soft hair that shines. In fact, I don't have split ends. I did see a pretreatment with poly80 with niacin and biotin and though 'hm, if that unclogs hair folicles, why not just add it to the shampoo? So I did. It set the scent, worked as a non waxy emusifier, the niacin and biotin are excellent for hair and skin and it seems to have lifted a lot of dead skin cells on the scalp so I have two versions......I sell more of the poly 80 with niacin and biotin and am getting too much great feed back on that . One college kid said his hair is thicker, it shines, he can shower with it so he stocks up when he comes thru. Said his dandruff is gone and his hair has no split ends. No, you don't need sls. or detergent or anything else. I like liquid glycerin veggie based kosher soap , the less ingredient the better. I want to add what I am looking for in a showegel/shampoo so I do . I just did one in Carpe Diem.......oh my goodness......that is one awesome smell and as soon as I figure out a non waxy conditioner, thats going into a complete line......that an Tahitian Spa.....roll on pefumes and the Carpe btw will take on a masculine scent with a male and a feminine with a female and its just lovely. The scent lasts after your shower and yet your body is thoroughly rinsed. evie --- On Mon, 11/17/08, Lori VanScoter <lvanscoter wrote: Lori VanScoter <lvanscoter Re: {] body wash Monday, November 17, 2008, 7:27 PM Many shampoos without SLS!!!!!!!!!!!!
