HI all

My dog, Mochi, has had a nasty yeast infection in his ears for over a

month now. The vets have tried two different medications (topical) but

he still has the problem. So I was wondering if anyone has any

suggestions from a holistic standpoint. We have another appointment

tomorrow so if you have any ideas I'll be able to discuss them with

the vet tomorrow.

Many thanks!

boric acid kills yeast. I would try 1 teaspoon per cup of warm water and put

that in his ear. I use it for my kids' ears and eyes for pink eye and ear

infections all the time. It's perfectly safe.

I also use boric acid for vaginal yeast infections. Used it for years and a

holistic physician told me how to use it.

A lot of ear infections in dogs are linked to food allergies .. I used to have a

female shepherd that had a lot of problems with her ears and infections I used a

mix my herbologist made for me of gold seal and grape seed oils they may have

been golden rod in there as well. I would warm a dropper full and put It in the

ear and massaged the base of the ear cleared her right up. This also used in my

sons ears when little stopped the doctors from having to put tubes in his ears .

Alright, I am bummed now, I had an awesome recipe for this and cannot

find it. I know the ingredients though, it is witch hazel, boric acid

and tea tree oil. Luckily I still have a bunch of it for my dog. It

works great. I had found it on a vet's website.

I will keep looking.
