Guest guest
Hi everybody, I am new to the group. I have been approved for a few days, but have been sick with one of those colds, sniffles, headache, thought I was going to die colds. Have spent 5 days on the couch nearly passing out every time I tired to do something cause I couldn't breathe-----any remedies out there??? I joined this group to learn more about using herbs, oils etc. to improve my hubby and my lives. I am 49, almost empty nester. Have one son out the door, and one 21 yr, old who technically still occupies his room but between work, school and girlfriend is almost never here. I am a diabetic, suffer from depression and over weight and general un satisfaction with how my " next 20 yrs. " is starting to look like. I believe we are toxic. I am seeking freedom from drugs, insulin, antidepressants, chronic muscle pain and total insomnia without sleeping meds and I'm seeking alternatives. I also am switching to mostly organic foods, un processed foods, natural or organic cosmetics, soaps and lotions. I am a nurse who has spent 30 yrs on the front lines, now in the ER, watching the health of our countrys people go straight down the tubes, me right with them. There is a huge amt. of people seeking care for chronic illness that could really be helped by the alternatives I'm reading about. Problem is I can get fired if I talk about ideas or alternatives with them. I look forward to recieving your ideas and recipes for these things. I really want some recipes for sugar and sea salt scrubs right now and shampoo. I haven't been able to find a shampoo I like that is organic. We raise boer meat goats, and I have just purchased my dream English Shire horse, and I'm going to attempt to ride again after a 25 yr. absence. I have had her 2 months and have been sick almost the whole time so I'm not riding yet. She is also bred and due first of May so looking forward to the birth. We are also expecting baby goats the first of Jan. and they are completly adorable. I would also like to hear ideas for natural animal care esp. dogs, horses and goats. I look forward to spending online time with all of you. My other interests are trying to garden again and raise, dry and cook with my own herbs. I like to cross-stitch, watch and read Jane Austen, all things Celtic, love history and am currently researching my Scottish and English ancestors.
