Or, it's further proof that weather patterns are going haywire because of

global warming.

Just depends on the position of your chair...

Um, not so fast, my friend.

One of the problems with global warming is that it also causes more

precipitation to fall in some places - and much less precipitation to

fall in others. With global warming it's really an upset to the

whole balance of nature - with some places experiencing drought while

others have floods. Getting snow... or having more snow fall in

places where it usually doesn't, IS definitely a part of that upset

to the delicate balance of nature.

I'd recommend seeing Al Gore's movie " An Inconvenient Truth " if you'd

like to really understand the potential impact of global warming.

That movie makes it quite clear - and many world-reknown scientists

have said that Gore's information and facts are right on the money.

In case you haven't really noticed it as yet, many places around the

world are experiencing some rather strange weather patterns. The

high number of damaging tornadoes and hurricanes in this country in

recent years is another example of the impact of global warming.

Hope this helps to clarify the issue a bit.

Take care,

Linda Ludwick

(in cold snowy Michigan - but that's normal, right? lol)

It should be called Global Weirding.

As for the question whether we are causing it or not, it might be a good idea to

clean up our collective act anyway.

The thought of living under skies like the ones in Bejing does not appeal to me

one bit.

Ien in the Kootenays, where it is a nice old-fashioned winter.
