Guest guest
A friend of mine recommended oregano oil for a massive head cold I've been suffering from since Friday. I had some of Butch's Oregano, Vulgare & put 1 drop in a cup of milk & drank it quickly. YUCK! (Not sure if the carvracol would've been a better option, but this is all I had). My 2.5 year old has also been miserable with this cold for at least a week & I am open to recommendations for relieving his nasty, hacking cough & runny nose. I prefer for " nature to take its course " when I have a cold, but it's not fair for him to suffer, so we've been intermittently giving him some all-natural cold meds. Butch, what are you doing for your little guy when he gets sick? Guest guest
I can tell you that somehow I have resisted colds and such for nearly 2 years (I did get the flu last winter - no flu shot) and I believe this is because I have been putting a couple drops of Butch's oregano in my morning water. If I am around folks that are sick I increase the amount of oregano. Just within the past month three members of my family have had colds and I haven't been sick. I probably should knock on wood! I do attribute this to the oregano. I know before I started using it, I had many colds throughout the year. I've tried over and over to get family members to use the oregano too, but they say it tastes too yucky and just refuse. I had them tried capsules, but they said they could taste it, too. Oh well, that's their problem! Jan G _____ On Behalf Of ElementsBB Monday, December 22, 2008 10:21 PM Oregano for a cold? Butch? Guest guest
Sugar Shots! I get a spoon, fill it half way up with sugar, I put in one drop of oregano, cover it up with sugar... then I get a cup of water, take the spoon of sugar, pour it as far back as possible and then slug it down with water. It will burn if I don't do it right. But I'm an adult and I can bully my kids into it, youngest is 7, but for a small puppy... Personally I would diffuse it in his or her room and skip anything else until they're older.
