Guest guest
I have a question. I love mint tea. Lately I have started drink at least a cup or two a day. Today I was on Amazon.com looking for some natural tea bags and I saw a tea called No more milk tea. It is suppose to help dry up your milk supply. I looked and the first ingredient was Peppermint. Well obviously with a 4 month old, that is NOT what I want to do. So I was just wondering if mint does that, or if one of the other ingredients is what they use to help dry it up. I usually take some fenugreek during the day, just to make sure I am getting enough milk for my baby. Any help is appreciated. Thanx a bunch! Here is a link to the tea, hope that is ok. I just wanted people to be able to see what is in it, to help. http://www.amazon.com/No-More-Milk-Tea-Bags/dp/B001MK2P0U/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8 '<http://www.amazon.com/No-More-Milk-Tea-Bags/dp/B001MK2P0U/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UT F8 & s=baby-products & qid=1233005925 & sr=8-19> & s=baby-products & qid=1233005925 & sr=8-19 Rebekah

Guest guest
I did finally find the ingredients and the first ingredient was sage and then peppermint, it does say not to drink if pregnant. Guest guest
That makes sense. SAGE is the herb used for drying up breasts. So you definitely don't want to drink it unless that is the plan. I just checked Penelope Ody's " The complete medicinal herbal " , and guess what: peppermint as well can reduce milk flow! It just says " take with caution if breast feeding. For instance, if you have an upset stomach and want to soothe it with mint, that should be fine, but don't make it your beverage of choice. Better find another nice tea to drink! Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com (blog)
