Guest guest
Hi Linda, I too lurk here on this list but did want to comment about Tick borne diseases. Many of them are so very debilitating and most folks don't realize that once you get infected by any of the tick borne diseases they NEVER ever leave the body. Antibiotics if given soon after the infection (tick bite) within 24 hours MAY help to rid the body, but most all the time the tick borne infection will win and be found years to decades later. They will hide and lurk in the bodies connective tissues. Places like the joints that really aren't bathed in a normal blood supply. And what they do is cause a lot of joint pains - ie arthritis and rheumatism. Although they can affect kidneys, livers and hearts too. The best line of defense is to have a really healthy immune system. The body can then keep it under control and depending on your stress and other health related issues it may never be an issue. But young people have hectic lives - juggling work and kids and who knows what else and so their body may not be able to handle the stress and then those tick borne diseases can rear their ugly heads. Besides Lyme disease, there are other ones Ehrlichiosis, and Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, and of course Rocky Mountain Spotted fever to name just a few. There are many others. My son has Lyme disease and for most of his teenage years he had many flare ups -It caused mental depression, severe headaches and Joint pains. He is now 30 years old and has had the disease since he was 11. During the growing years it was awful, but now as an adult he has been pretty good. Only a flare up every couple years. I have seen people with Ehrlichiosis too. They do fine for a few years then have flare ups. If they were to be tested now, my son or my sister in law the tests for either disease would be negative. Because the initial infections were treated with antibiotics, but the disease is still present in their bodies. So anything you can do to help your daughter to rest properly, reduce the stress in her life, fight off other infections and build her immunity will hopefully help her. Using essential oils and herbs to help relieve any of the 'symptoms' she is having should make her feel better. I feel for her and you too. Here in Minnesota, as in many other areas of New England, and more places too etc where Lyme disease is an issue, many folks will have life long debilitations from those " nasty bugs and the infections " they carry.
