Guest guest
Butch you are right about the zones. But she and I are both in Zone 8. My worms are a little slow but thriving and multiplying like rabbits. For those who are in cooler zones, you can dig a shallow ditch (if you can dig in the ground!) and pour in your blended veggie trimmings, then cover them back up with dirt or shredded newspaper that is dampened. As for coffee grounds, Starbucks and many other coffee houses will give you all they can. Saves them dumpster room and makes them feel like they are helping the environment. You can also feed your worms corn meal. Hopefully you can find some non-GMO corn meal. The healthier your plants are, the more they will resist disease and freezing.
