Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience working with combo oils that aid in the healing of tattoo's? I'd like to know if any oils are better than the others. Any feedback? Thanks so much! Have a blessed day! Robin- Organic Elixirs **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. Guest guest
Not with tattoos directly, but this will heal anything I have tried it on - Mix up equal parts wheat germ oil, honey and powdered comfrey. It is a weird mix. Sometimes I add aloe vera gel and it looks like black Martian jelly! <S> You take a spoon and put some on a bandage, put the bandage loosely on the wound (tatt) leave it 24 hours, take off the bandage and replace any of the mix that has absorbed. Rebandage. Continue as long as necessary to heal. Guest guest
Just got my first tat in November...they tried to sell me a 'special' ointment for healing. Truthfully, it is nothing more than bacitracin and Aquaphor. Instead, I used my own concoction of comfrey infused oil that I had mixed up with a bit of fixed oil and beeswax to make a salve. worked great. I think the bottom line in healing any skin " wound " is to keep the area clean, dry and moisturized. In fact, when I commented to the tat artist later about how nicely my artwork healed, he indicated that Palmers cocoa butter was just as good as the ointment they sell. Go figure! HTH, & good luck! Guest guest
Hi Robin- I make a very effective tattoo balm. I have friends who own a tattoo shop and many people there are devoted users of it. I infuse a mixture of almond, grapeseed, and apricot kernel oils with herbs. I'm not going to give all the ingredients as I really think I have something here and am looking into a patent. I mix the oils with shea butter and cocoa butter. Works great on MANY skin problems and heals tattoos really quick without scabbing. It's really amazing. Hope this helps, sorry to be so vague. I'm a little protective of this recipe because it is so awesome. Christine Soul Kitchen Naturals www.skc-mt.com
